About Ashwood Ashwood is located about about a twenty minute drive from the town of Buttonwood, Pennsylvania, within the Bark Cabin Natural Area. Surrounded by the forests, Ashwood is hidden from public view. No one that doesn't come from the "storybook world" will ever know of their existence. Ashwood was founded by King Meridean, Merlin, and the Blue Fairy. They were talking about making a place where the trials and issues of their past could be left behind. Were people could start fresh and make a new. Together they combined their powers and borrowed an idea from the snow white story. Making magic mirrors that would only be able to be used once, they allowed people to come to Ashwood. Spreading the mirrors around to all the different areas, people started arriving. The mirror would shatter once the people came through. There are still other mirrors out there that allow people to come into Ashwood. The residents of Ashwood can travel in and out of the town if they wish, exploring the big cities around them and beyond that. Battles and power struggles still happen inside this magical town, sides are drawn and people you might not expect have chosen sides.
